On behalf of the St. Patrick’s Day Committee here in Perth, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to you for your valuable support and participation in the annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival held in Birdwood Square last March. The event’s success was made possible by the commitment and enthusiasm of sponsors, volunteers and attendees like you.
This year marks the 150 year anniversary of the Catalpa escape by the Fenian brotherhood from Fremantle to New York. A daring and famous achievement in 1876. There are many events on between now and April and I implore you to enjoy the celebrations. It is a reminder of how prominent Irish history is to Western Australia, and the globe.
We are thrilled to announce that the Perth St. Patrick’s Day festivities will return on Saturday, the 14th of March at Birdwood Square, 301 Beaufort Street, with he theme of Freedom, Courage & Irish Spirit – no doubt something we can all relate to after travelling so far to live in beautiful Perth.
This location was a major success in 2025 with the parade beginning at the corner of the Brisbane Hotel and heading north on Beaufort Street before turning at Broome Street and returning to Birdwood Square for the traditional Family Fun Day in Birdwood Square park. We invite you all to join us for the parade and the festivities for an entertaining day of culture, music and a bit of Craic!!

The busy and vibrant season of cultural celebrations and events is in full swing across the City of Vincent.
We love to support events that strengthen community connection, which is why we continue to be a proud sponsor of the St Patrick’s Day Festival.
The festival brings together people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy Irish culture and traditions and is one of Vincent’s most popular free events.
